About Garden State Roofing Co.

Garden State Roofing Co. is a roofing service built around one specialty: finding and fixing roof leaks for homeowners in Sayreville, New Jersey. We are not a general contractor who also does roofs — leak repair, detection and storm damage work is the core of what we do, across Parlin, Morgan, Melrose, Ernston, Sayre Woods, MacArthur Manor, Laurel Park and Morgan Heights.

Sayreville's housing — post-war ranches and capes, 1970s developments, Sandy-era rebuilds — sits in one of the tougher roofing climates in the country: nor'easters off Raritan Bay, freeze-thaw winters, humid summers and the occasional tropical storm. Our inspection process, materials and documentation standards are built for exactly those conditions.

How We Work

Why Leak Repair Is Our Specialty

Plenty of roofing companies will replace your whole roof. Far fewer are set up to answer the harder question: exactly where is this one leak coming from, and what is the smallest repair that ends it for good? That question is our whole business. It demands a different habit of mind - diagnosis before demolition, evidence before opinion - and a different kind of honesty, because the profitable answer for a roofer is often the bigger job, while the right answer for the homeowner is a boot, a flashing line or a single slope section. We built Garden State Roofing Co. around giving the second answer, with the photos to back it up, on every call, in every neighborhood we serve.

The Inspection Standard

Every job we do starts the same way, whether it is a stain the size of a coin or a storm-torn slope: inside first, then uphill. The attic tells us where water has been traveling - staining, trails, rusted nail tips - and the roof above that evidence tells us where it got in. Only when the entry point is known do we talk about repairs. That order is deliberate. Roofing has a long tradition of patching where the water appears, and it is why so many homeowners have paid for the same leak twice. We would rather spend an extra twenty minutes tracing than sell you a repair aimed at the wrong square of roof.

What We Will Never Do

Our Service Area, Section by Section

In Parlin, we mostly repair flashing and boots on post-war ranches and split-levels. In Morgan and Morgan Heights, it is bay weather: corroded flashing and wind-driven entry points. Melrose brings layered older roofs that need attic-side diagnosis. Ernston holds the borough's oldest flashing, and much of our work there is original-era metal finally giving way. In Sayre Woods, brick chimney flashing and undersized attic ventilation dominate. MacArthur Manor is post-Sandy roofs reaching their first maintenance window. Laurel Park is the tree canopy: moss, shade-damp slopes and debris-dammed valleys. From our Sayreville base we also serve South Amboy and Old Bridge, which share the borough's weather, housing and even its ZIP codes.
